Embrace. Transform. Flourish.

About Dr. Tilda Zheng

I am a university professor, personal coach, spiritual care chaplain, and certified tea master. At first glance, these might seem like unrelated pursuits, yet they all reflect my deep commitment to living and teaching with authenticity, joy, and purpose. In every role I undertake, my goal is to help others discover their own path to fulfillment and happiness—whether that’s in the classroom, in a coaching session, providing spiritual guidance, or in the peaceful ritual of a tea ceremony.

Professor

I’m an Assistant Professor in the Buddhist Chaplaincy graduate program at the University of the West in Rosemead, CA. I focus on spiritual care and counseling, helping future chaplains integrate academic study with Buddhist insights to serve others with empathy and purpose.

Coach

I run a coaching practice focused on mindfulness, leadership, and fulfillment. I help clients cultivate clarity, resilience, and confidence, guiding them to align their values with purposeful action. By bridging self-awareness with goal-oriented strategies, I empower individuals to sustain growth.

Chaplain

As a chaplain, I’ve served people in need at senior homes, homeless shelters, shower programs, food banks, public spaces, hospitals, and schools. I also sit on the spiritual care advisory boards at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and St. Camillus Center for Spiritual Care.

Tea Master

I’m certified by the International Tea Master’s Association, and my doctoral research explored the tea ceremony as a spiritual care practice. Beyond its health benefits, tea disarms barriers and creates space for genuine heart-to-heart connection.
